R Dub! Answers A Higher Calling: Thirst
• Our friend, R Dub!, the globetrotting host of Sunday Night Slow Jams is demonstrating his heartfelt humanitarian side once again as he has begun his latest campaign to raise enough money to dig a third well to bring clean water to families in the Berbérati Village of the Central African Republic. The village is located deep within the Central African Republic and this project is already more challenging than the two previous water well projects R Dub! and Sunday Night Slow Jams‘ fans and colleagues helped bring to fruition — in 2017 the first well was completed for the Nyakoi Akuoro Village and a second well was dug in 2018 for the Aminit Border Village. Check out Facebook video of these wells in action.
R Dub! (pictured here with some of the local village children) said, “Water is a basic need that most of us don’t even give a thought to. My friends in the Berbérati Village of the Central African Republic fight for it every day. With the new well we’re building, the entire village, and surrounding villages will have access to clean, pure water. These wells get built with the support of my awesome listeners, program directors, record execs and industry friends. Thanks for considering supporting — even a share on my video will help spread the word. I can’t wait to arrive in the village and dedicate this new well, and show you the smiling faces of the children whose lives you’ve saved!”
The great news is, R Dub! is over halfway to his goal of raising the funds necessary to dig this third well, which includes a $1,000 donation from his friends at Benztown.
