Nick Cannon Adds New Co-Hosts

• Meruelo Media Rhythmic KPWR (Power 106)/Los Angeles announced that the recently launched Nick Cannon Mornings has filled out its cast with the addition of co-hosts Melissa Rios, Teddy Mora and DJ Carisma.

Rios (second from left) is a Los Angeles native and an active, married millennial mother of three who previously did mornings at SBS Spanish Top 40 KXOL (Mega 96.3)/Los Angeles. Rios said, “Growing up I remember listening to Power 106, so to be able to say I’m a part of this family is surreal! I’m happy, I’m ready, I’m HOME!”

Mora (second from right) started his career as a Power 106 intern and event host for the Power 106 Flava Unit. As the story goes, Teddy was so committed to landing a fulltime position on Power 106 that he rode a Greyhound bus back and forth to Phoenix for a year to do weekends on KKFR (Power 98.3) to increase his exposure and on-air experience, which led him to hosting Saturday nights on Power 106. Mora commented, “I’m thrilled to be working with Nick Cannon, Melissa and Carisma! Entertaining people and having a positive impact in their lives, no matter the platform, has and always will be the goal.”

DJ Carisma (right) has come home to Power 106. She’s a well-respected celebrity DJ and three-time Female DJ of the Year who has released hit records with Chris Brown, Tory Lanez, Dej Loaf and others. Carisma said, “I’m excited to be coming back home to Cali’s No. 1 Hip Hop station, Power 106.  I’m honored to be working alongside with superstar Nick Cannon!  Watch out y’all — Hip Hop’s newest, most LIT morning show is HERE, and we’re ready to take over!” Cannon (left) commented, “We have a strong team! To have the support system of Teddy, Melissa and Carisma… people who are authentic to the culture and community is important. One of the things I’m most excited about is to help develop new artists out of L.A. with Carisma!”
