Wilson Runs iHeart KY-IN Country

UPDATED: iHeartMedia has named Ashley Wilson as Director of Country Programming for the company’s Kentucky-Indiana region, effective July 22. She will oversee the programming for the region’s five Country stations, including 97.5 WAMZ/Louisville and WBUL (98.1 The Bull)/Lexington, KY. Wilson succeeds Jay Cruze, who was recently promoted to Country PD for the company’s National Programming Group.

Wilson has been with iHeartMedia since 2017, most recently as PD of Country WNOE/New Orleans. She was previously APD/MD/midday personality on Renda Country WGNE (Gator 99.9)/Jacksonville, and she began her radio career at Curtis Media Country WMMY-FM/Jefferson, NC.

In her new post, Wilson be will be based out of Louisville and report to Michael Jordan, Region SVP for iHeartMedia’s Kentucky-Indiana Region, who commented, “Ashley is becoming a leader in her field and we are fortunate to bring her to our region. She brings a lot to the table and will be a valuable asset to our team.”

• In a related story, iHeartMedia has named Kristy Beebe as Regional SVP of Sales for the Kentucky-Indiana region, effective August 1. The region includes more than 25 stations. Earl Jones said, “It’s always great when you have a talent in the building that you can promote to a higher level. Kristy is that talent and has contributed greatly to the success of our Louisville market. I’m eager to watch her share her knowledge and skills with those in the Indianapolis, Lexington and Somerset markets.”

Beebe will remain based in Louisville, where she has served as General Sales Manager for the past two years. She began her career as the LSM for iHeartMedia in her hometown of Toledo, OH. “I’m so thankful to the iHeartMedia team for the confidence that they have shown in me,” said Beebe. “My decades in radio have prepared me to contribute to the growth and success that has been building in these markets.
