Fast Return To Boise
• Iliad Media Group (Impact Radio) has announced the hiring of major market veteran Nathan Fast to fulfill the role of Creative Media Strategist. In this new position, Fast will oversee digital content and distribution on development for Iliad’s seven Boise brands: Country KQBL (101.9 The Bull), Top 40 KWYD (Wild 101), Hot AC KZMG (My 102.7), Adult Hits KSRV (96.1 BOB-FM), Classic Hits KKOO-AM/KZMG-HD2 (101.5 Kool FM), Alternative KQBL-HD3 (ALT 96.5), and Active Rock KQBL-HD2 (99.1 I-Rock). His other duties will include strategic on-air/online projects and talent coaching for the group.
The move marks a return to Boise for Fast, who earlier in his career did nights across the street at KSAS (103.5 Kiss FM). Fast spent the past few years in the Dallas-Ft. Worth market, most recently doing mornings on Cumulus Country KPLX (99.5 The Wolf) until last November. Before that he handled the wake-up shift on former CBS RadioTop 40 KVIL (AMP 103.7) until Nov. 2017, when the Entercom/CBS Radio merger was consummated and KVIL flipped to ALT 103.7. Fast’s other notable stops include nights on KHTS (Channel 93.3)/San Diego, weekends on KIIS-FM/Los Angeles and he got his first big break doing part-time/overnights on KLUC/Las Vegas.
Regional Operations Director James Garner remarked, “When Nathan decided to return to the Treasure Valley, we were so excited. To bring someone with his wide array of skills, talent, and experience as well as working with great stations across America will be an amazing asset for our cluster here in Boise. Nathan is versatile in so many formats and we have seven of them, so that’s a good thing!”
Fast commented, “I feel fortunate to be bringing my career full-circle! We’re thrilled to be back in Idaho with family and friends. I’m grateful to partner with a company that does world-class local radio in one of the greatest cities in the country. I appreciate [CEO] Darrell Caltonand James Garner for giving me the opportunity & am ready to get to work!”
