Big Loud Rolls With Big Loud Rock
• Nashville-based Big Loud Records just launched its Rock/Alternative imprint, Big Loud Rock and introduced its new Senior Vice President of A&R, A.J. Kasen, who joins an executive team that includes President & Partner, Greg Thompson, and fellow SVP, Lloyd Aur Norman.
Kasen (left) started his career with Lava Records in 2011. In 2015, he joined Better Noise Music as Director of A&R, and was bumped up to VP in 2017, working directly with Mötley Crüe, AWOLNATION, Dirty Heads, Five Finger Death Punch, The Hu, and other acts.
“We’re honored to have A.J. join the Big Loud family,” says Thompson. “It’s exciting to have someone with his pedigree to continue and grow our commitment in the Rock world. Having him team up with Lloyd will give us the best leadership we could imagine.”
Big Loud Rock recently announced its first signed act, Blame My Youth, a new band fronted by former Empires principal, Sean Van Vleet. Blame My Youth’s current single, “Fantastic,” just hit the Top 30 on both the Mediabase Active Rock and BDS Mainstream Rock charts, with a debut EP due this fall. Meanwhile, Country hitmaker HARDY‘s cover of the Puddle of Mudd classic, “Blurry” was released on Big Loud Rock earlier this year.
