Ray Quinn Announces Retirement
• iHeartMedia Alabama announced the impending retirement of veteran radio manager Ray Quinn, Area President for iHeartMedia’s Alabama area, effective March 22.
Quinn has been with iHeartMedia for the past 14 years and has worked in the broadcasting industry for more than half a century. Over that time he has held noteworthy leadership positions, including VP/Market Manager for KOSI, KALC & KQMT/Denver; WMYX, WXSS & WSSP-AM/Milwaukee; WOLX, WMMM & WBZU/Madison, WI, to name a few.
Among Quinn’s many honors — The governor of Kentucky recognized Quinn as a Kentucky Colonel for participating in numerous charitable projects in his community. He was awarded the March of Dimes’ “Order of the Battered Boot” for his walkathon fundraising efforts over the years. He was named one of Radio Ink‘s “Best Managers” in 2019 and was recruited by the U.S. State Department in 1992 to provide pro bono consulting work to the first companies to be awarded commercial radio and TV licenses in Czechoslovakia and Hungary.

Quinn commented, “It’s been an amazing 51 years in radio and 14 years with iHeartMedia. Along the way, I’ve worked for and with some of the most intelligent people in the business and I’m grateful to iHeartMedia for allowing me to lead multiple markets in the Southeast.
