• Total Traffic & Weather Network (TTWN) announced an exclusive nationwide agreement with TrafficCast, the leading provider of digital traffic information and technology. In this multi-year partnership, TTWN will serve as the exclusive U.S. radio and television distributor and marketing partner for TrafficCast’s new smartphone app, TrafficCarma, a free commuter-focused app designed to deliver personalized, real-time traffic information to help drivers pick the best route for their daily commute, and then update the route while drivers are on it. The app combines TTWN’s real-time traffic incident data with TrafficCast’s advanced data analytics, application development and digital traffic technology.
“We are thrilled to exclusively offer radio and television broadcasters nationwide the dynamic new traffic app, TrafficCarma,” said Jack Dunkle, SVP of Affiliate Sales for Total Traffic & Weather Network. “TrafficCarma provides commuters with the real-time traffic information they need to quickly make the best daily route decisions, and extends our media partners traffic brands with a new digital revenue source.”
• Rockcastle Media Networks is moving its corporate headquarters and substantively all operations to Kansas City, effective May 1. The network was organized in scenic Mission, Kansas in April 2016 and began operations the following month in Colby, Kansas. The relocation will not impact any program feeds to Rockcastle Media Networks affiliates, and all existing employees are being retained. “This move gives us better access to our content partners and affiliates,” said Rockcastle Media Networks President/CEO Will Sterrett. “We hope to continue our upward trajectory utilizing Kansas City’s advanced internet capacity, ready access to air travel, and a more stable regulatory environment in Missouri.”
