Drew Walker Expands Exponentially
• Drew Walker is going national! Walker, PD/morning talent at Connoisseur’s suburban Chicago Country simulcast, WCCQ/Joliet & WXLC/Waukegan (Chicagoland’s FREE Country @ 98.3 & 102.3) is broadening his on-air footprint to four Country siblings in three additional states, as he is awarded mornings (6-10am) on KTJJ (J98 The Boot)/Farmington, MO, KWIQ (Q-Country 100.5)/Moses Lake, WA, KXXK (Kix 95.3)/Hoquiam-Aberdeen, WA, and 9-10am KYSM (Real Country 103.5)/Mankato, MN.
“When I made the leap to start something new 2+ years ago, one of the things we talked about was someday taking my show national,” Walker posted to Facebook. “It was a huge career goal of mine. And today feels like the perfect time to finally share the news. Drew Walker Mornings is now a ‘national’ radio show. Still a little weird to type that.”
Walker (pictured here with Connoisseur Founder/CEO Jeff Warshaw), famously spent two decades at Audacy Country WUSN (US*99)/Chicago before joining then Alpha Media-owned WCCQ & WXLC/Waukegan in May 2024 as APD/MD and afternoon drive talent. He was elevated to mornings and Program Director in Dec. 2025.
