Sarkes Tarzian Now ST Radio, Holtz Named Pres.

• Sarkes Tarzian, Inc. announced the consolidation of all of its radio properties under the new ST Radio banner. The six-station group, which includes Triple A WTTS/Indianapolis, News-Talk WGCL & Classic Rock WTTS-HD2/Bloomington, and AC WAJI, Classic Hits WLDE, & Alternative WGBJ/Ft. Wayne will be led by company veteran Brad Holtz (pictured), who has been named President of ST Radio, effective immediately. He retains his existing role as Vice President of Sarkes Tarzian, Inc.

Based in Indianapolis, Holtz most recently served as President/GM of WTTS, WGCL, and WTTS-HD2 and previously had programmed the stations for 15 years. “Consolidating our Indiana radio properties into a single, unified group will make ST Radio more competitive while strengthening our core business,” Holtz said. “I welcome the opportunity to lead such a talented group of professionals across our three markets and I offer my humble gratitude to Sarkes Tarzian, Inc. for the faith they have placed in me.”

Lee Tobin, current President/GM of WAJI, WLDE, and WGBJ, will transition into the newly created corporate role of Senior Vice President of Radio & Community Affairs, where he will manage projects that are critical to the mission of Sarkes Tarzian, Inc. He will continue to work with the company’s leadership team through the transition period and beyond. Tobin said, “I’m excited to begin a new chapter in my Sarkes Tarzian career. I am especially thankful to CEO Tom Tarzian, Co-CEO Mike Kendall, and COO Pam Teague for the opportunity.”

Kendall remarked, “While the radio industry faces many challenges, there are just as many new opportunities to be discovered. Brad’s record of accomplishment and his vision for what radio can and should be perfectly suit his new position.
