Chad Taylor On The Loose
• RAMP has confirmed that Chad Taylor has exited his position as Operations Manager for Cumulus Media’s Des Moines, IA group. The reason, according to Taylor’s Facebook post: “My role at Cumulus Media has been eliminated, a development that I greet with a mix of sadness and anticipation,” he said, adding, “Having navigated a 30-year career without facing a similar situation, I am thankful for the outpouring of support and encouragement from my network.”
In addition to his OM duties, Taylor also handled mornings on Country 92.5 KJJY, afternoons on Top 40 KWQW (98.3 The Vibe)/Des Moines and middays on Classic Hits sister KRUZ 103.3/Santa Barbara, CA.
Taylor joined the five-station cluster in August 2017, relocating from St. Cloud, MN, where he spent six years as OM of Townsquare’s six-station group and morning host on Hot AC KMXK (Mix 94.9). Prior to that, Taylor was OM/PD of Community First Broadcasting’s three stations in the Spirit Lake, IA area.
“As I reflect on my accomplishments, I’m thrilled to have consistently delivered Top 10 results for three radio stations in market 70, including the number one overall,” Taylor wrote. “The overwhelming support from listeners who heard the news is a testament to our strong bond, and I’m eager to embark on this new journey.
