Mix 105.1 Albuquerque: Re-Mixed

UPDATED: American General Media Hot AC KKRG (Mix 105.1)/Albuquerque, NM officially rebrands as Mix 105.1 — Feel Good Throwbacks, specially designed for listeners who want to relive their favorite ’90s and ’00s tracks from Britney Spears, Eminem, Backstreet Boys, Nelly, Rihanna, etc., skillfully blended with today’s hits from artists like Sabrina Carpenter, Bruno Mars and Ed Sheeran. You get the idea.

“I’m so thrilled to be a part of the launch of the NEW sound of Mix 105.1!” said newly named Operations Manager Michelle Matthews, who most recently programmed Cumulus Hot AC 96.3 WDVD/Detroit until her departure last November during a round of corporate restructuring. “This station speaks to the lifestyle of women 25-49 who grew up on some of the best music of all time! I’m ready to watch Mix make a splash in Albuquerque-Santa Fe!”

Matthews (left) previously spent eight years in Columbus, OH, as OM/PD of Saga AC WSNY (Sunny 95) and Hot AC WVMX (Mix 107.9). Matthews also programmed iHeartMedia Classic Hits KLOU/St. Louis and worked for eight years in Omaha as OM of the Clear Channel/iHeartMedia group and Regional Programming Manager for Omaha, Wichita and Sioux City, IA. Matthews’ earlier experience includes stops at KXPK & KALC/Denver and as OM of Saga’s Springfield, IL group.

“We’re proud to bring something fresh and exciting to Albuquerque radio,” said Mix 105.1 PD Jonathan “J. Steele,” who also programs AGM Rhythmic sibling KKSS (Kiss 97.3) and Zelus Media Group’s KKFR (Power 98.3)/Phoenix. “Mix 105.1 is designed for people who grew up in the TRL era and want a station that reflects their energy, their memories, and their lifestyle today.”

Mix 105.1 features the Premiere-syndicated Brooke & Jeffrey weekdays from 6-10am, Corinna Delgado in middays, Michelle Matthews from 3-7pm, and J. Steele from 7-midnight.
