Moe Mitchell Exits ‘The Bert Show’

• Details are noticeably scarce, but RAMP has confirmed that Maurice “Moe” Mitchell has exited as a cast member of the Westwood One-syndicated The Bert Show based at Cumulus Top 40 WWWQ (Q99.7)/Atlanta after a seven-year run. Local media journalist Rodney Ho of the Atlanta Journal Constitution noted that Mitchell had been M.I.A. from the show this month with no explanation.

Host Bert Weiss broke what he described as the “painfully incomplete news” Tuesday morning, addressing what he called “the elephant in the room.” Weiss noted, “Unfortunately, Moe is not going to be part of The Bert Show anymore. And that is really all I can share at this time. The one thing I can promise you: Everybody in here is going to do everything we can to make sure you guys are entertained every morning and we are putting together the best show we can. And we are trying our best.” That’s really all I can share at this point.”

Originally from Brooklyn, NY, Mitchell, a stand-up comedian and digital content creator with no prior radio experience, formally joined The Bert Show in May 2018. So far Mitchell has not commented via social media.
