Kyle Matthews Changing States

• Eight months after joining Steel City Country KBEQ (Q104)/Kansas City, MD/morning co-host Kyle Matthews announced he’s leaving and moving to St. Louis for family reasons. His last day is Oct. 24.

Back in February we reported Matthews’ major move upward from his position as Brand Manager/afternoons on Townsquare’s KAWO (Wow Country 104.3)/Boise, ID to KBEQ as MD. Upon his April arrival, Matthews was named morning co-host alongside Mallory May. Matthews earlier served two tours of duty with NRG Media Country KFGE (Froggy 98)/Lincoln, NE, with a year in middays on Audacy Country KFRG/Riverside sandwiched in between.

“This move is a family decision, one that just feels right for us,” Matthews noted in an Instagram post. “To my Q104 family, thank you for every laugh, memory, and opportunity. You’ve made this chapter unforgettable. And since it wouldn’t be a big move without a new adventure, I’m officially on the lookout for my next role. If you know of a great fit, I’d love to connect! We’re grateful, hopeful, and ready for whatever’s next.”
