Debbie Wagner Announces Year-End Retirement

• After an extraordinary 42-year career in radio management, Debbie Wagner has announced her impending retirement as General Manager of Arizona Lotus Corporation in Tucson, effective at the end of the year.

“Debbie is a magnificent leader who people, clients, and employees rallied around,” said Jim Kalmenson, Chief Operating Officer of Lotus Communications. “She helped groom the next generation of leadership, allowing us to continue our long-standing preference of promoting from within.”

Wagner joined Arizona Lotus as GM in March 2021 following stints as Market Manager for iHeartMedia/Clear Channel in Tucson, San Diego, and Springfield, MA. A proud alum of the University of Arizona, Wagner earlier served five years as CEO of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Tucson. Her record of leadership has left a lasting legacy across both the broadcast industry and the Tucson community.

Wagner stated, “After 42 unforgettable years in radio management, I’m retiring with immense gratitude to Lotus Media and to the many teams, stations, clients, on-air talent, listeners, and community partners who made this journey so rewarding.”

Leadership transitions will take effect in January 2026 and the new management team will be officially announced on Monday, Nov. 3.
