Wright (left) has been with Saga’s Des Moines Media Group (DMMG) since 1991, moving up through the ranks and becoming a staple of Central Iowa workdays and parties alike.
DMMG VP/GM Stephanie Heide remarked, “We are excited to promote Jimmy to this position. He is an iconic voice in the Des Moines area, and it’s very fitting that with his talent, knowledge, and experience that he programs one of Des Moines’ heritage radio stations.”
Wright, a lifelong Des Moines resident, shared his enthusiasm for the change, commenting, “I grew up listening to KIOA. My family listens too. It’s an honor to be a part of a legendary station like KIOA. I’m excited and looking forward to working with a GREAT staff. I’m living the dream!”
Concurrent with Wright’s promotion to KIOA Content Director/afternoon host, Des Moines Media Group Director of Content Leigh McNabb (right) adds Star 102.5 Content Director/afternoon host to her to-do list.
