‘Money Pit’ Wraps Up This Month

• After more than 25 years on the air, The Money Pit radio show will sign off with its final broadcast over the weekend of Dec. 27-28, 2025. The nationally syndicated home improvement program, produced by Money Pit Media and Squeaky Door Productions, will conclude following the February passing of show owner and host Tom Kraeutler.

Sue Kraeutler, Tom’s wife and co-founder of the show’s production company, shared the following message: “I want to thank our loyal affiliates and sponsors for believing in us going back to when we first started some 25 years ago. This wasn’t an easy decision, but it’s time that we closed the Squeaky Door.”

Kraeutler was an accomplished craftsman, educator, and former chair of New Jersey’s first regulatory authority for licensing home inspectors. His weekly radio show, The Money Pit, was heard on more than 400 radio stations, and provided homeowners with expert advice, inspiration, and trusted information on every aspect of home improvement.
