Bill Stewart Named SVPP, iHeartMedia Tucson

Stewart earns the Tucson transfer from iHeartMedia Spokane, where he has served as SVPP since July 2023, following a brief stint as Director of Content for Townsquare’s Billings, MT radio group. Upon his arrival in Tucson, Stewart will retain some of his existing programming responsibilities, including afternoons on Classic Rock 98.9 KKZX/Spokane, and mornings at KYMG (Magic 98.9)/Anchorage.
And speaking of Alaska, Stewart is probably best known for his lengthy tenure in the Anchorage market — from 1993 to 2015 he was PD/morning co-host at Top 40 101.3 KGOT under various owners, and from 2015 to late 2021 was PD/morning co-host at iHeartMedia’s KASH (KASH Country 107.5). He’s also worked at KZZP/Phoenix, the late WINX/Washington, DC and KOKU/Guam.
Stewart will now report to Tony Manero, Area SVP of Programming for iHeartMedia’s Southwest Area, and work closely with Southwest Area President Steve Earnhart, who said, “We’re excited to have Bill join our team in Tucson. He brings a deep understanding of how to build strong, relevant brands that connect with listeners and communities. His leadership and programming vision will continue to elevate our stations and deliver compelling content that reflects the energy, culture, and voice of Tucson.”
“iHeartMedia’s Tucson stations play a powerful role in people’s daily lives,” said Stewart. “These stations are trusted voices in Southern Arizona. My focus is to continue to deliver great music and engaging local content that reflects the spirit of this community and gives listeners something they can rely on every day.”
