Flatow Leaving RIAA And Going Solo

“Joel’s contributions to RIAA and the music community are extraordinary,” said RIAA Chairman & CEO Mitch Glazier. “For more than three decades, he has helped bring people together, often in moments when trust, judgment and relationships made all the difference. Joel was a cornerstone of our artist relations work, having opened and established our West Coast presence, strengthened coalitions across the creative community and helped ensure that artists and music had a meaningful voice in consequential policy debates. He has been a colleague, counselor and friend to so many of us. I know his next chapter will reflect the same generosity, creativity and deep commitment that have already defined his career.”
“RIAA has been my professional home for so many years through such seismic change in the industry, and I am profoundly grateful to everyone who has shaped that experience,” said Flatow. “My work has always been about building trust and understanding and finding a way forward to support artists and their teams. Flatow Strategies will carry that work forward with organizations and leaders facing moments where policy, culture and technology are rapidly evolving.” [Photo Courtesy of Maya Darasaw]
