Chad Taylor Named OM, MWC Peoria

• Midwest Communications, Inc., Peoria, IL welcomes Chad Taylor as Operations Manager of the cluster and PD of Country WXCL (104.9 The Wolf) and AC WSWT (Mix 106.9). He replaces Fritz Moser, who left last month and relocated out of state.

Taylor’s operational oversight will also include News-Talk WMBD 1470/100.3, Classic Hits WPBG (93.3 The Drive), Throwbacks WKZF (KZ 102.3), Oldies 102.7 Super Hits (WPBG-HD2), and Conservative Talk WIRL-AM 1290 (Freedom 95.9).

In making the introduction, Market VP Mike Wild remarked, “Chad is a proven leader with incredible enthusiasm and an acute understanding of how we need to approach growth. He will be a huge asset to our entire operation. Plus, he’s a great guy and a pleasure to be around.”

Taylor brings with him 30 years of experience, most recently serving as OM of KZIA, Inc. in Cedar Rapids, IA. Taylor earlier spent 7+ years with Cumulus Des Moines as Director of Programming & Operations, overseeing the five-station cluster while programming Classic Rock 95 KGGO and Top 40 KWQW (98.3 The Vibe). Taylor earlier spent six years in St. Cloud, MN, as OM of Townsquare’s six-station group and morning host on Hot AC KMXK (Mix 94.9). Prior to that, Taylor was OM/PD of Community First Broadcasting’s three stations in the Spirit Lake, IA area.
