Sandman Seriously Settled Into Music City

• Congrats to Mike “Sandman” Sanders, former PD of SummitMedia Country 104.7 WZZK/Birmingham, AL, who has relocated to Nashville, where he started his own company, “Sanders On Air,” working on a contract basis coordinating radio tours for several artists and labels, including Triple Tigers. You may recall that Sanders was downsized in April 2025 during a round of corporate restructuring, followed shortly thereafter by a fire that took everything.

Now happily settled in Music City, Sanders (right) has hit the ground running, so to speak — he worked with Chris Young (left) on Wednesday as he covered 20 radio stations, and he’s working on Shane Profitt‘s radio tour today.

“Going independent has been a fun shift,” Sanders tells RAMP. “I’ve had the opportunity to work with a variety of artists, my radio friends, great teams, connect with morning shows, and catch up with PD friends — it’s truly been next level.” Sanders can now be contacted at sandersonair@gmail.com.
