$10K To Touch That Dial

In July we reported that Zelus was spinning off the 97.5 frequency to Scottsdale-based religious broadcaster Good News Broadcasting Network for a reported $1.5 million and would be transitioning HOT 97’s format and intellectual property to its former simulcast partner 103.9 KZON/Gilbert, AZ.
The move brings an upgraded 103.9 signal to the Phoenix Valley, with a campaign designed to help listeners find HOT at its new home. The launch will feature on-air promotion, billboards, mobile billboards, commercial creative, social media advertising, website promotion and email outreach
“HOT has an incredible connection with its listeners, and we’re excited to bring that energy to our new home at 103.9,” said Jonathan Steele, VP of Programming for Zelus Media Group. “‘Reset Your Preset’ is an invitation to make the move with us — and giving one listener $10,000 is a great way to celebrate together.”
“This transition represents an exciting investment in HOT and the communities we serve,” said Mike Cutchall, President & CEO of Zelus Media Group. “With an upgraded signal and a coordinated marketing campaign, we’re creating new opportunities to connect with listeners and deliver value for our advertising partners. We look forward to celebrating this next chapter with the Valley.”
