The Programming Dept. — Darla Thomas & Artemis

• Veteran programmer Darla Thomas has joined the affiliate team at The Tom Kent Radio Network, representing AC & Hot AC products. Thomas most recently programmed Entercom Hot AC WLNK (107.9 The Link)/Charlotte. Before that she was across the street as PD of iHeartMedia Adult Hits WLKO (102.9 The Lake). Earlier in her career Thomas spent five years as OM of the Journal cluster in Tucson, and she also worked at KSRZ/Omaha, KSMG/San Antonio and KLSY/Seattle.

TKRN SVP of Affiliations Ed Douglas said, “Having a pro of the stature of Darla Thomas join our affiliate team is a dream come true. She understands the AC world of radio and values the commitment Tom Kent has made to making great radio!” Thomas commented, “I’ve known Tom for years and I’m so impressed by the network he’s built across the country. • Midwest Communications is proud to announce the hire of Art “Artemis” Smith as the new Brand Manager of Top 40 WLMI (i-92.9)/Lansing, MI, starting today. Fortunately, Artemis gets to keep his Michigan driver’s license, as he segues from Townsquare Media Rhythmic WRCL (Club 93.7)/Flint, MI.
