McAllister Wakes Up In Seattle
Entercom Country KKWF (100.7 The Wolf)/Seattle has tapped veteran wake-up artist Matt McAllister to anchor its brand new morning show, which will debut the week of October 2. McAllister relocates from Phoenix, where he had spent nearly decade co-hosting the former Ben & Matt Show on iHeartMedia Country KNIX until he exited in January of this year.
“Matt is creative, innovative, competitive and laser-focused on bringing audiences compelling content for their morning commute,” said Drew Bland, PD of The Wolf. “We are excited to welcome him to our team in Seattle, leading the next chapter of mornings for 100.7 The Wolf.” McAllister, who was honored as “Personality of the Year” by the Academy of Country Music (ACM) in 2010 and the Country Music Association (CMA) in 2015, commented, “I’m both thrilled and grateful to be joining 100.7 The Wolf and Entercom to bring an exciting, expanded new show to its morning listeners. This is the beginning a new chapter for me and I can’t wait to get to know Seattle.”
McAllister’s new show will be rebranded and feature new cast members TBA. McAllister replaces current morning personalities Ellen Tailor and Randy Stein, who will both remain with The Wolf in new roles, which will be revealed soon. Tailor was the former co-host of the long-running Fitz In The Morning show and was elevated into the host chair when Fitz exited in late April.
