Vegas Knows How To Win

CBS Radio Top 40 KLUC/Las Vegas partnered with Zappos For Good, Lyft and the Salvation Army for a three-day broadcast last Wednesday, Thursday and Friday to collect items for Hurricane Harvey and Irma relief efforts.

After three days, KLUC’s Chet Buchanan & the Morning Zoo filled five semi-trucks with donated supplies and hit the road this past Saturday for the 1,200-mile trek to the Salvation Army Divisional Disaster warehouse in Arlington, TX, just outside of Dallas. There they helped unload the much-needed supplies, which the Salvation Army immediately began prepping for distribution.

“Our listeners have done it again!” exclaimed Chet Buchanan (center), bookended by co-hosts Spence and Kayla. “Five semis filled in three days for people who really need it in the aftermath of Harvey and Irma is phenomenal! Much love and thanks to our new best friends at Zappos For Good, The Salvation Army, and Lyft for being amazing partners. Thanks to The Westgate Resort and Casino for financing an adventure we will never forget, and Mercer Transportation for getting all of the donations there quickly and safely. We love you all!” Read more about the campaign and see some more photos at KLUC.com.
