Big Jim’s House Is Rockin’
… And you are encouraged to start knockin’… Last month we told you Beasley Media Group Classic Rock WCSX/Detroit had hired Erin Vermeulen as the new morning show co-host, joining longtime host “Big Jim” O’Brien. This morning, perfectly timed to Vermeulen’s highly anticipated on-air debut, the company revealed that the show has been relaunched and rebranded as Big Jim’s House. “I am so excited to welcome all our listeners into Big Jim’s House with Erin V. and Producer Ryan,” said O’Brien. “This will be my 15th year at WCSX. Everyone on the show has a deep felt love for Detroit and believes in where we’re going. Our house is full of fun and great classic rock!”
Vermeulen is a Detroit native who began her career at the former 1310 WYUR/Detroit and later went on to work in South Africa, Dubai, Cairo, Denver and Phoenix. She was most recently a member of the Bill Handel Morning Show at iHeartMedia News-Talk KFI/Los Angeles.
WCSX PD Jerry Tarrants remarked, “We are proud to launch a morning show that will give radio listeners in the Motor City a fun assortment of entertainment, information and music delivered by three Detroit natives who will feel like good neighbors and friends in your radio every morning. The station is busy celebrating its 30th anniversary this year. This addition to the lineup will keep things fresh and fun as WCSX continues to rock the Motor City.”
