Peddling Bikes For Kids
SummitMedia Country WKHK (K95)/Richmond has partnered with the Henrico Police Athletic League to create K95’s Bike Drive for Kids — a campaign to provide new bikes for kids who otherwise would not be receiving gifts this Christmas. K95 is encouraging its listeners to purchase a bike for a child in need while out shopping this holiday season. The K95 Bike Drive is designed to benefit children of all ages from low-income homes.
Listeners are encouraged to stop by the Target store at Richmond’s Short Pump Town Center today and tomorrow, where morning duo Lori & Billy D will be broadcasting their morning show live. It should be noted that this will not be your usual remote broadcast — in an effort to really drive home the whole Bike Drive theme, Lori & Billy D will be broadcasting their entire show live — while riding stationary bikes! Bicycle donations will be graciously accepted at that Target location on December 8, 9, 10, 11, or on the morning of Dec. 12, when Lori, Billy D and PD/afternoon personality Garret Doll will be broadcasting live.
