Blazy & Bob Open The Vault

blazy-bobThe syndicated Blazy & Bob Show has opened up its heavily fortified vaults and released a ton of rare, classic studio and live listener performances, all with the goal of raising money for Children’s Miracle Network. The guys did a special broadcast on all of their California morning shows, and KHIP/Monterey dedicated the entire day to raise funds for CMN. For the first time ever, Blazyandbob.com features one-of-a-kind unplugged songs from Gregg Allman, James Taylor, Melissa Etheridge, Kenny Loggins, Counting Crows, Nils Lofgren, one of the last radio studio recordings of the late Shannon Hoon and Blind Melon, Paul Rodgers and Neal Schon, Michael Penn, Chris Isaak, John Lee Hooker, Craig Chaquico, Pat DiNizio of the Smithereens and Little America.

And from their live audience shows, you’ll hear now departed rock legends Ronnie Montrose, Brad Delp of Boston doing “Long Time” and Keith Emerson with “Fanfare for the Common Man,” along with Blazy, Bob and their listeners live on stage with The Doobie Brothers! Other live performances feature Peter Frampton, Bryan Adams, Steve Miller, Robin Trower, Steve Vai, John Waite, The Rembrandts, Stephen Bishop and more. Many of these songs haven’t been heard since their original broadcast, most of them during B&B’s time at the late, great KOME/San Jose. Blazy has been waiting to release this collection for a great cause, and Children’s Miracle Network was a perfect fit. Anyone can contribute $25 to hear the songs, and the donation will stay in their area to help children and children’s hospitals.

The Blazy & Bob Show is heard mornings on KHIP (The Hippo)/Monterey-Santa Cruz-Salinas, KXTZ (The Beach)/San Luis Obispo, KXDZ/Paso Robles, KIOO/Visalia and KFMF (The Hippo)/Chico, CA.
