Beasley Forecloses On ‘Big Jim’s House’

O’Brien shared the news of his unscheduled departure in a Facebook post that reads, “After an incredible run at WCSX, my time with the station has come to an end. I’m grateful to the listeners, teammates, clients, veterans, and Detroit community who allowed me to be part of their mornings for so many years. Detroit has been my home for 24 years, and I’m proud of everything we built together. More to come soon. – Jim”
O’Brien originally joined WCSX in 2002 as Executive Producer and on-air contributor alongside 40-year Detroit morning radio legend Ken Calvert. After Calvert’s retirement in December 2013, O’Brien and Trudi Daniels took over as co-hosts. In March 2019 Daniels joined iHeartMedia Classic Rock 106.7 WLLZ, a gig that last six years.
No word yet on what Beasley has in the pipeline to replace “Big Jim’s House.”
