Excessively Hairy Situation
For the past few years we have chronicled the furry exploits of radio vet Scott Miller, who is headed to Austin tomorrow to compete in the semi-prestigious 2017 Remington Beard Boss World Beard & Moustache Championships, which run Sept. 1-3 at Austin’s Long Center for the Performing Arts. Yes, you read that correctly — The World Championships Of Facial Hair. Miller (pictured here demonstrating his incredible versatility) will not be alone in his quest — we are told that as many as 1,000 contestants from 33 countries representing all seven continents will show up to compete in 27 categories.
Oh, and at the same time, Miller is looking for a new job. He was most recently morning co-host/Executive Producer at Hubbard’s Classic Hits WDRV (97.1 The Drive)/Chicago. He was previously co-host/Executive Producer at WGN/Chicago, News Anchor on the former WIQI (FM News 101.1)/Chicago and he was a Producer for Oprah Radio on SiriusXM & WestwoodOne.
Miller tells RAMP, “As I continue to search coast-to-coast for my next career move, I have also been concentrating on cultivating a world-class follicle presentation. My father blessed me with the ability to sprout hair like none other… let’s just hope I can bring home the gold… or at least have fun trying!” Miller can be contacted via Facebook or Twitter.
