Love Exits WBLS/New York

After a decade-and-a-half run with Emmis Urban AC WBLS/New York, we learned that Eddie Love has resigned. Love was most recently doing the Sunday midday shift.

In a statement, posted to Facebook, Love said, “Tonight, I will tender my resignation at WBLS/NYC after 15 years. Vinny Brown brought me here from [XHTZ] Jammin’ Z90/San Diego in 2002. The New York listeners welcomed myself and my then 5-year-old daughter with loving support from the start. I do this after much soul-searching and thorough thought. New York City/Tri-State listeners are some of the best in the world! I will miss talking to them on a weekly basis as I take time to contemplate my next God-directed and inspired move.”

WBLS PD Skip Dillard told RAMP, “I’ve known Eddie since I arrived at WBLS in 2008. I have enjoyed working with him and wish him the very best!”
