‘Good Morning, Baltimore!’
Now that we have successfully embedded that opening song from the Hairspray soundtrack into your skull, it’s time to let you know that iHeartMedia Country WPOC/Baltimore has a rare morning drive opening, as it was announced that Claire Scattergood is stepping down from her role as co-host on the Laurie DeYoung Show on to focus on being a fulltime mom.
That development immediately triggered Jeff Wyatt, Baltimore SVPP & WPOC PD to put his “Creative Typing 101” skillz to use, as he eagerly shared the news of this terrific opportunity, telling RAMP, “What does that mean for you? You’ll be joining a team of storytellers, lead by Laurie DeYoung and Jeff St. Pierre. You should be a Country music fan with an interesting, outgoing life, a love for people, puppies, kids and probably ice cream and coffee too…”
Hang on, he’s still rolling… “Experience doing conversational news and/or traffic and using social media as a marketing vehicle a plus. At least three years radio on-air experience is required… compensation beyond crab cakes and a Ray Lewis jersey is a discussion based on resume and fit.”
Wyatt added, “Claire is staying on during the transition but we’re moving now on this opening.” You heard the nice man… candidates are cordially invited to visit the gleaming iHeartMedia Careers Plaza, read up on the particulars and apply online for this EOE position (Req8071).
