Major Massachusetts Morning Openings

wror-logoBeasley Classic Hits WROR/Boston has a rare opening on its morning show for the perfect person. Last week it was announced that market icon Wally Brine, longtime co-host of the Loren & Wally morning show was retiring this month. To be clear, WROR is not looking to replace Wally — because no one can! — But if you feel you have talent that can complement the station’s tightknit and highly rated morning team, they’d like to talk with you. As PD Ken West explains to RAMP, “Just like the ad says, we are not replacing Wally — he’s irreplaceable. We have an incredibly strong team on the air, but if a Dave Roberts-type is available to come in and steal second and lead us to the promised land, we’d want to talk to that player.”

Candidates must be able to: 1) Generate topical content that relates to Boston listeners aged 40+; 2) Develop a defined role among other show personalities, and participate in real, honest discussions with those personalities and listeners; 3) Write, create and produce content such as parody songs and commercials, topical comedy bits, written blogs and podcasts; 4) Voice multiple current celebrity impressions; 5) Watch way too much TV and absorb way too much pop culture and 6) Have the desire to communicate and share the show and your life on social media. Oh, and technical production experience (Pro Tools, Adobe Audition, or other audio program) would be awesome.

Killer candidates are urged to stop reading and send your materials, manifestos, or other shiny objects to Ken West at ken.west@bbgi.com. Beasley Media Group, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer
