Caroline, JustGold Aiming For Platinum

Caroline and artist manager Justin Goldman announced the formation of his record company, JustGold, with Caroline handling worldwide distribution for JustGold releases. JustGold also announced its debut signing — London-based singer Millie Go Lightly, who burst onto the scene in 2017 with two notable appearances on Young Thug‘s Top 10 album, Beautiful Thugger Girls. Millie Go Lightly’s debut single for JustGold will drop in September, with an album to follow in October.

Jacqueline Saturn, GM of Caroline/Harvest Records said, “I’m proud to announce this new partnership with JustGold and Justin Goldman. Justin brings his passion for music combined with just the right amount of New York City street smarts to this venture. His vision for the future and innate ability to find great artists shows him as a new force in the industry. His first artist, Millie Go Lightly is already making waves and it’s just the beginning. JustGold is a perfect fit for Caroline.”

Goldman (pictured) is a 20-year-old junior enrolled in the Bandier Program at Syracuse University. The program (named for the Sony/ATV Music Publishing Chairman & CEO Martin Bandier) only admits 25-30 students annually, and combines the study of the business of music, media, marketing, entrepreneurship and practical experience. Goldman manages the careers of 10K Projects/Capitol’s Lil Gnar, and Republic Records’ Yung Gravy through his management company Pr1me Sound, and also co-manages up-and-coming artist Jasiah.

“JustGold Recordings’ vision is that it’s more than a record label, because JustGold is a platform I use to trust my gut,” Goldman said. “I only care about hit songs, not the number of followers or numbers the music gets. A lot of labels spend too much time on unimportant marketing or publicity methods and forget to perfect the music first. I’m excited to get going with people who know great music — Jacqueline Saturn, Matt Sawin and the rest of the Caroline/Capitol team. Thanks for believing in me.”
