Coffey Works Well For Radio & Records

• Radio vet J.C. Coffey is making the big transition to the record side, hired by Big Machine Records as Midwest Director of Promotion, based in Nashville, effective Monday, March 18. Coffey will promote the imprint’s roster, which includes Reba McEntire, Rascal Flatts, Carly Pearce, Midland, Ronnie Dunn, Jennifer Nettles, The Cadillac Three, Lauren Jenkins, Josh Phillips, Noah Schnacky and Dan Smalley.

Coffey was most recently Operations Manager for Community Broadcasters’ four-station group in Elmira-Corning, NY. Before that he programmed Binnie Media Country WTHT (99.9 The Wolf)/Portland, ME and was OM/Brand Manager of Townsquare Media Country cousins WOKQ/Portsmouth, NH and WPKQ (103.7 The Peak)/North Conway, NH and Classic Hits duo WSAK/WSHK (102.1 & 103.5 The Shark). Earlier in his career Coffey was Brand Manager/morning talent at Saga Classic Hits WMLL (96.5 The Mill)/Manchester, NH and he also did weekends at WAAF/Boston.
