Fitz Like A Boxing Glove
• People are starting to take notice of the innovative new type of artist interviews recently spearheaded by Fitz In The Morning on Hubbard Radio’s KNUC (New Country 98.9 FM The Bull)/Seattle. Rather than plodding through your textbook, sometimes boring Q&A interview format, Fitz has created what he has dubbed the “Fitz Artist Interrogation,” a decidedly more in-your-face, up-too-close-and-extremely-personal interaction with visiting recording artists.
As Fitz explained to RAMP, “I created the ‘Artist Interrogation’ because artist/celebrity interviews have gotten very stale over the years. The artists always have fun, and you can guarantee they’ll always remember our show! Plus, we keep them honest. Somebody has to keep these stars accountable.” Over the past few months, Fitz has conducted “Artist Interrogations” with Russell Dickerson, Riley Green, Jason Aldean, Old Dominion and Runaway June, just to name a few, polishing his technique along the way.
Fitz’s latest “conquest” was Capitol Records Nashville’s own Jon Pardi, who was interrogated inside his tour bus last week prior to his performance at Seattle’s Paramount. Fitz added, “Jon loved it, and had a great time! He was so excited that he created the perfect interrogation spot for us on his tour bus. We had so much fun!”
When asked how this latest confrontation was orchestrated, Scott Mahalick, Brand/Content Director of The Bull told us, “Fitz snuck onto Jon Pardi’s bus and demanded that he cooperate with his World Famous Artist Interrogation™!” (Dramatic music swells…) Mahalick added, “Will Fitz get the truth out of Jon Pardi? Watch now and find out! We’re keeping this Country Boy honest!” Check out the video of the Fitz/Pardi throwdown posted to Facebook.
