SVP Stripes For Concord’s Haller & Scrobe

• There’s more celebratory cake in the break room at Concord Recorded Music — just a day after Jill Weindorf was upped to General Manager, the company announced the elevation of Tyson Haller to Senior Vice President, Head of Promotion and Angelo Scrobe to Senior Vice President, Field Promotion.

Haller (left) started his music career doing college radio promotion at Elektra Records and Virgin Records, eventually rising to NYC Regional Promo rep at Virgin. He later joined WMG’s incubator label, EastWest, building the promotion department from the ground up before moving on to oversee the promotion and label services teams at Alternative Distribution Alliance (ADA). Haller joined Concord in early 2019.

Haller reports to GM Jill Weindorf and Chief Label Exec Tom Whalley. Weindorf commented, “Tyson is a tremendous executive. He’s extremely dedicated to artist development and deeply understands Concord’s commitment to creating career artists. In this new role, I’m confident that he will build strategic, creative, artist-centric campaigns that will continue the future success of Concord’s Promotion team.”

In his newly expanded role, Scrobe (right) will work directly with Haller to develop and execute multi-format campaigns, guide department operations and lead the promotion efforts at Alternative radio. Prior to joining Concord Music in 2014, Scrobe spent over 12 years at Capitol Music Group/EMI Music and Universal Music along with independent promotion firm and trade publication, Pellegrino Entertainment Group & S.I.N. Scrobe will report to Haller, who remarked, “I love the artists represented by the Concord labels and I’m truly honored to lead the incredibly talented promotion team. I’m also thrilled that Angelo Scrobe has been elevated to SVP/Field Promotion. He has a proven track record of success and dedication to the team. I’m grateful to Tom Whalley and Jill Weindorf for this opportunity and I’m excited to get to work!” [Haller photo: Lee Seidenberg Photography]
