Pittsburgh In Rearview For Broadway & Friends

• After several days of uncertainty, RAMP has confirmed with Audacy management that the syndicated Broadway & Friends morning show is no longer airing on Audacy Country WDSY (Y108)/Pittsburgh, the show’s flagship since the crew moved there last May.

RAMP then went right to the source, host Jerry Broadway (right, with Mitch English, T Wall & Sweet Becca), who said, “We are leaving Pittsburgh and looking at a few incredible opportunities in other cities. The folks at Audacy Pittsburgh have been just great to us. Their whole team is all about class, integrity, and professionalism. We feel blessed to have been given an offer by these fine folks to extend our stay there, but we made a real tough decision to move in a different direction.”

When we pressed Broadway about his future plans, he steered us to his agent and co-syndicator, Gary Bernstein, President of Oceanic Tradewinds, who respectfully declined to share specifics, but did reference that the show will be expanding in the next few weeks by adding several new stations, two new high level affiliate people, and confirmed an upcoming change in area code. Stay tuned.

Broadway and Friends is nationally syndicated through Oceanic Tradewinds and Gemini XIII/United Stations and is currently airing on 30+ stations. For more info, email gary@oceanictradewinds.com.
