Cole Comes Home To WAEB/Allentown
• iHeartMedia Allentown, PA welcomes Derrick Cole as the new Program Director of Top 40 WAEB (B104), effective immediately. If Cole’s name sounds familiar in the hallways, that’s because it is – Cole used to program WAEB and sister WLAN/Lancaster, PA before he was elevated into his most recent position as CHR PD for the company’s National Program Group.
Cole now reports to EVP Jeff Hurley, who commented, “Derrick is a multi-faceted leader who embodies everything we seek in a Program Director for the year 2022 and beyond. He has great strategic vision and energy that will drive B104 to even greater heights.”
Cole is a graduate of the Connecticut School of Broadcasting, began his radio career at WDAQ (98Q)/Danbury, CT and programmed Clear Channel Top 40 WKSI/Winchester, VA. He also worked for Premiere Networks in New York for a spell and has also cracked the mic at WKSS/Hartford, KC101/New Haven, WSPK/Poughkeepsie, NY and WBLI/Long Island.
