Condolences: Kat O’Connor
Kat O’Connor, longtime APD/midday personality at Hubbard Radio Country WUBE (B-105)/Cincinnati died yesterday afternoon, Oct. 31 at the age of 53. The news was delivered by VP/Market Manager Mike Fredrick, who said, “It is with incredible sadness that I let you know Kat O’Connor has passed away this afternoon. For those of you who have worked with Kat, you know that she has been a key contributor for decades to the success of B-105. Kat’s commitment, work ethic and loyalty will always be her ongoing legacy. Her dedication to the station was unprecedented. As Assistant Program Director, Kat played a key leadership role in developing B-105 into its legendary status where it stands today.
I know this news is incredibly painful for many of you, but I know that Kat would want all of us to lean on each other for support. The B-105 family will stay strong and help each other during this difficult time.” O’Connor had been with B105 since 1991, when she was hired to do nights, then later moved to middays. She leaves behind her husband, Mark. Memorial services will be announced soon.
