Coyote Howls Grow Louder
Beasley Media Group Country KCYE (102.7 The Coyote)/Las Vegas announced a series of staff realignments — the headline here is that APD/MD/morning goddess Kris Daniels is proudly reclaiming her PD stripes. You may recall that Ms. Daniels relinquished her day-to-day programming duties last July in order to focus on her responsibilities as co-host of Kris & Mad Dog morning show — which she will continue to do every weekday from 5-10am. Market Manager Tom Humm determined that the person most deserving the Coyote PD opportunity was right there in the Beasley Las Vegas building all along, as he said, “Kris Daniels has worked for Beasley Las Vegas for the past three and a half years serving as PD, APD/MD and morning show host. She has an impressive work ethic and passion for the Program Director position. She knows the market’s competitive landscape very well and is ready to focus on programming KCYE to new levels.”
• Joining Ms. Daniels on the KCYE Programming team as MD/afternoon talent is Emmanuel “Ransom” Garcia (left), a 13-year market vet who has worked in a variety of formats, Country being his favorite. Daniels said, “Ransom’s music scheduling and social media skills are incredible and he will be enormously helpful! Ransom and I look forward to working on finding our perfect musical recipe for Country listeners in Las Vegas.” As we reported yesterday, Coyote APD/afternoon personality Todd Michaels just exited after two years.
And finally, after an 18-month radio hiatus, Paul Knight (right) is making his triumphant return to do middays. “The Coyote is in my blood!” Knight exclaimed. “I miss the energy, listener interaction, events and concerts. Let’s face it, I wanted to come home and be a part of my 102.7 Coyote family.” Daniels noted, “Now that I have a seasoned, experienced support team around me, I’m excited and rejuvenated about the opportunity to lead the Coyote!”
