Denis Returns To Hank

• Proving the old adage that sometimes you can go home again, Emmis Country WLHK (97-1 Hank FM)/Indianapolis announces the return of Cara Denis as Music Director and afternoon personality, filling the sizeable shoes of market legend JD Cannon, who retired last week.

Denis triumphantly come home to Hank FM after a successful five-year stint as APD/morning co-host on Zimmer Radio Country KCLR (Clear 99)/Columbia, MO. Prior to that she was the Producer of Mornings With Dave O’Brien on Hank-FM from 2010-2012. Hank PD Fritz Moser said, “Timing aligned perfectly to bring Cara back to our team. Her success in Columbia speaks volumes… Cara knows being a great personality is more than just an airshift. It’s important to be visible in the community and to continue the conversation online — she gets it. Cara is in the heart of our target demo and will add a great perspective to our music decisions.”

Denis, who starts on May 8, commented, “I’m so grateful for this opportunity with Hank FM — it’s a dream come true! I can’t wait to become part of the communities I grew up around and contribute to this phenomenal team.”

• With Ms. Denis on the move, KCLR has already posted its morning co-host opening on Zimmer’s Career Opportunities page.
