Glasgow Named PD of DC’s WONK

• iHeartMedia has tapped Dennis Glasgow as the new PD of News-Talk 104.7 WONK-FM (W284CQ/WWDC-HD2)/Washington, DC.

Glasgow’s extensive career includes his most recent seven-year stint with Capitol Broadcasting in Raleigh-Durham, NC as VP of Operations and PD of ESPN affiliate WCMC-FM (99.9 The Fan) and WDNC-AM (620 The Ticket) until his pandemic-related departure in June 2020.

His previous programming stops include Pamplin News-Talk KPAM-AM and KKOV-AM/Portland, OR, and he also served as VP of Programming for Red Zebra Broadcasting, overseeing stations in Richmond, Norfolk and WTEM-AM/Washington, DC. Earlier in his career Glasgow programmed Entercom’s KFXX-AM (1080 The Fan)/Portland, and he worked for Crawford Broadcasting’s KLZ-AM/Denver and KNML-AM/Albuquerque, NM.

Already on the job, Glasgow reports to Jeff Kapugi, Region SVP of Programming for iHeartMedia DC & Baltimore, who remarked, “As a veteran in sports and news radio, Dennis brings an unparalleled set of skills and experience to WONK-FM.
