Muckley Named PD of SiriusXMU
• We want to congratulate veteran programmer/air talent Chris Muckley, who has accepted the Program Director position at SiriusXM’s Indie Rock channel, SiriusXMU, effective Nov. 20. Muckley will report to VP of Production and Music Programming Rob Cross, who is the current PD of the channel.
Muckley (seen here this week during a visit by the legendary Smokey Robinson) has been with SiriusXM since May of 2015, and he will continue to host afternoons on Triple A The Spectrum, do a Saturday show on The Loft (Eclectic), and Sunday mornings + fill-ins on SiriusXMU. He will remain based in Los Angeles.
Muckley also spent 2012-2017 as an on-air host and talent-development consultant at KCRW/Los Angeles, and he has worked in music supervision for film, TV and ads. Muckley notably spent nearly two decades at 91X/San Diego in on-air and Music Director roles, and he began his radio career in beautiful San Luis Obispo, CA at Cal Poly’s KCPR and at KZOZ.
