Ward Now Radio Mayor Of Two Markets
Congrats to Scott Ward on his swell upgrade to PD of CBS Radio’s five radio stations in Riverside and Palm Springs, CA — Country KFRG & KXFG (K-Frog 95.1 & 92.9)/Riverside, Classic Hits KVFG (103.1 The Route)/Victorville, CBS Sports affiliate KRAK-AM/Hesperia and AC KEZN 103.1 Sunny FM)/Palm Desert.
In this newly expanded role, Ward will succeed the retiring Lee Douglas and oversee all operations of the five stations, including music, artist relations, marketing, promotions and digital outreach. Despite his frightening new powers, Ward will continue to co-host the K-Frog morning show as he has done since joining the company in 1995. He was upped to MD in 2010.
“This is a very well deserved promotion, and I’m thrilled for our stations to have the expertise of one of radio’s finest program directors,” said Michael Valenzuela, SVP/Market Manager of CBS Radio Riverside and Palm Springs. “During his 20 years with us, Scott has developed a deep understanding of what audiences in the Riverside-San Bernardino area want from their local station, from music to events to community involvement.”
Ward exclaimed, “I’m excited for the opportunity to program for my radio home of the past two decades. We’ve got great teams across our stations who work hard every day creating great content and keeping the fun alive for our local listeners!”
