Warm Extension, MD Stripes For Seth Hughes
• Seattle radio pro Seth Hughes has two major reasons to celebrate today — 1) He just inked a sweet extension to remain in mornings on Hubbard AC KRWM (Warm 106.9), and 2) he’s been named Music Director of the station. “Seth has a deep background with music scheduling,” said Cat Thomas, Warm 106.9 Brand Content Director. “He knows the format, the music, our listeners and the station’s goals. He’s very deserving of this opportunity.”
Hughes joined Hubbard Seattle in March 2018 to do middays on Country sister KNUC (98.9 The Bull). A year later he crossed the hall to fill the vacant Warm 106.9 morning slot. Earlier in his Seattle radio career Hughes co-hosted mornings on former CBS Radio Country rival KMPS until Dec. 2017, when new owner Entercom flipped it to Soft AC as KSWD (94.1 The Sound).
“The Pacific Northwest has been my home for over 15 years and I’m beyond excited to continue to wake up Seattle,” said Hughes. “I’m also deep into a finger exercise regimen so I can play G-Selector like a piano! Huge thanks to Wheeler Morris, Scott Mahalick, Cat Thomas, Greg Strassell and my agent extraordinaire, Heather Cohen. I absolutely adore what I get to do for a living and where I get to do it.”
• The current Warm 106.9 line-up looks like this — 5-9am: Seth in the Morning; 9am-2pm: Shellie Hart; 2-7pm: Jay Kruz; 7-midnight: Steve Mills; midnight-5am: Laurie Hardie.
