Hubbard Wakes Up The Morning After
• Hubbard Radio St. Louis welcomes market vets Tim McKernan, Doug Vaughn, Ken “Iggy” Strode, Jackson Burkett and their long-running The Morning After (TMA) show to multiple on-air and digital platforms, beginning Tuesday, Jan. 4, 2022. The show was most recently carried across the street on Markel Entertainment’s KFNS AM (590 The Fan).
The Morning After will be broadcast live on YouTube, on insidestl.com, and on KPNT-HD2 weekdays from 7-10am. The Morning After can also be heard 24 hours a day on KPNT-HD2, as TMA All Day content will air outside of live show hours. The daily TMA show content will be made available as a podcast each weekday.
Starting Jan. 4, McKernan (pictured) will also host a one-hour sports talk show along with Jackson Burkett on WXOS (101 ESPN) weekdays from 10-11am, dubbed “Balloon Party” as a tribute to the late, great Joe Strauss, and will continue producing his weekly Tim McKernan Show podcast, available on insidestl.com.
McKernan said, “Doug, Iggy, Jackson, and I have met multiple times over the last few months discussing our next move, and in the end, the opportunity to join a company with the reputation of Hubbard Radio was one we could not pass up. We are thrilled to be bringing TMA to Hubbard, and we’re especially looking forward to the new ways our audience will be able to access our content with TMA All Day on 105.7 HD-2 and by watching on YouTube.”
John Kijowski, VP/Market Manager of Hubbard St. Louis, commented, “Tim has proven himself to be an amazing content creator over the years, and has built up a massive following with both listeners and advertisers.” Tommy Mattern, OM of Hubbard-St. Louis, added, “We’ve been wanting to grow our digital footprint for years, and adding The Morning After is a huge first step in that direction. With the addition of the YouTube Channel, not only can you listen to TMA, but you can also watch it live, which is something we think their audience will embrace.”
