KABC Wakes Up With Tweeden
Cumulus Media News/Talk 790 KABC/Los Angeles has named Leeann Tweeden as News Anchor for McIntyre in the Morning. The talented Ms. Tweeden will plug in across from host Doug McIntyre and sports guy Randy Wang weekdays from 5-10am. Tweeden most recently co-hosted LA Today with Roggin & Tweeden across the street on iHeartMedia’s KLAC (AM570 LA Sports Radio). She’s a former co-host of UFC Tonight on Fox Sports, co-anchor of Good Day L.A. and a cast member of FSN’s The Best Damn Sports Show Period. She also hosted NBC’s National Heads-Up Poker Championship and the popular late night show, Poker After Dark.
KABC Operations Director Drew Hayes said of Tweeden, “She is not only a bright, high-energy, and plugged-in broadcaster, she brings a broad reservoir of life experiences. Leeann is a perfect fit for McIntyre in the Morning and the big-personality lineup of News. Talk. Evolved. 790 KABC.” McIntyre commented, “I’m thrilled Leeann is joining us on McIntyre in the Morning. She will lend a different vibe to the show, and is smart, funny and patriotic, and brings a much-needed woman’s perspective to the news of the day.” Tweeden said, “I’ve been a sportscaster for much of my career, but I love politics and have deep attachments to our military — and I’m a mom of two small kids. I’m ready for anything!”
