• iHeartMedia Classic Rock WDTW (106.7 The D)/Detroit used the festive cover of Memorial Day Weekend to tweak its musical make-up a tad, adding more variety to the menu and changing its positioning statement to “We Play Anything In Detroit!” Please note, that, according to SVP of Programming Tony Travatto, the format remains Classic Rock. The station is also retaining its current branding as 106.7 The D, so you won’t have to memorize any fancy new name.

• There’s a new sheriff in mornings at Albany Broadcasting WKLI (The New 100.9 The Cat)/Albany, NY, as Kevin Richards moves up from middays to join Dana Race as the new co-host of the Cat Morning Show. Richards succeeds Jake Allen, who recently crossed the hall to co-host the morning show on Top 40 sister WFLY. The newly minted duo did their first show yesterday morning.

As PD Jon Reilly said, “Kevin and Dana are both fans of country music, they live and breathe the country lifestyle and most importantly, are real and authentic.” Richards had done the Cat midday show for the past three years. Prior to that he spent 19 years across the street at Townsquare Country rival WGNA. Concurrent with Richards’ elevation, Team CAT welcomes Pete Kelly to the midday show. Kelly earns the transfer from morning drive at Hot AC sister WKBE (107.1 The Point)/Glens Falls, NY.

• Proving that, yes, you can go home again, Jim Bosh announced he’s returning to the Midwest Communications building in Lansing, MI, just six weeks after he exited as morning host on WLMI, as it flipped from Classic Hits to Top 40. This time, Bosh will serve as a Marketing Consultant for the four-station Lansing group, starting tomorrow. In a Facebook post, a “super excited” Bosh said, “I’ll be meeting with local businesses and helping them grow by creating awesome on-air ads and digital products!” Commenting on his new gig, Bosh told RAMP, “I’m stoked because I know the market and my co-workers very well, so it IS like coming home! I’ve been writing, voicing and producing commercials for my entire career, including in Lansing, and I love to meet new people, so this is a win-win!”

Bosh joined WLMI in June 2016 after a seven-year run in mornings on iHeartMedia Country WWYZ/Hartford. His four-decade radio resume jammed with impressive call letters like WWWW (W4) and WMGC/Detroit, WHMI/Howell, MI, KQKS (KS107.5)/Denver, WQSR/Baltimore, the late WPHR (Power 108)/Cleveland and KWJJ/Portland, OR, to name a few.
