Murr Subs For Brown On WKLB/Boston
• As Beasley Country WKLB (Country 102.5)/Boston prepares for morning co-host Ayla Brown to go on maternity leave to give birth to her son Barrett later this month, the station has wisely called upon the talents of a familiar longtime Boston morning drive personality to fill in — say good morning to Danielle Murr (pictured), a former fixture on The Greg Hill Show across the street on Audacy Sports-Talk WEEI-FM, and earlier, on the late, legendary WAAF/Boston.
“We are so happy for Ayla as she embarks on an amazing journey with her family during maternity leave,” said Dawn Santolucito, WKLB APD/Marketing Director. “We wish her all the best and can’t wait to meet the little guy!” Commenting on the choice of Murr to plug in across from co-host Jonathan Wier, weekdays from 5:30-9am, Santolucito said, “Danielle’s morning drive experience, New England roots and ability to connect with listeners made her the perfect addition to our morning show while Ayla is on leave. We are both excited and fortunate to have her join the Country 102.5 team over the next several weeks!”
Murr remarked, “I love radio, Boston, and Country music, so I’m beyond thrilled to be dipping back into the world of morning drive in my hometown, especially in a format that I enjoy so much. I’m honored to have been tapped to join the incredibly talented team at WKLB!”
