Bleachers’ Crowd Always Loud

Back in May we had the pleasure of seeing Bleachers live at the legendary Roxy on the Sunset Strip. On Tuesday evening, Jack Antonoff and the guys made their triumphant return to town, this time at Hollywood’s larger (and sold-out) Fonda Theatre. The bigger venue = a bigger and more raucous crowd, and they came fully prepared to match the band song-for-song, and they demonstrated their enthusiastic vocal skillz throughout Bleachers’ energetic set, which included “Everybody Lost Somebody” and “Hate That You Know Me,” as well as their upcoming second RCA single, “I Miss Those Days,” which was a major standout hit.

Everyone participated loudly with the hits from Bleachers’ 2014 Strange Desire album — “Rollercoaster” and “I Wanna Get Better” were big sing-along favorites. At one point Antonoff commented that it felt like a very “un-L.A. crowd,” as the energy level was ridiculously elevated, with everyone singing along, even to the album tracks, dancing and waving their hands in the air like they just didn’t care… when, in fact, they clearly did care. Bleachers closed the set with the crowd-pleasing “Don’t Take The Money,” which peaked at No. 2 at Alternative and is now crossing to Hot AC.
